Rob Smith at Rocky Mountain Recording Studio does a great job. Deep Field South (Mel Smith and Dave Bauer), Tim Hus, Chantal Vitalis, Tom Wilson, Heather Blush, Highwater Jug Band, and a whole lot of others have recorded there. He has a beautiful Sony MXP3000 console and a RADAR system in there, along with some of the best ears I've seen. If you're looking for a great Calgary studio, that's the one to pick. My experiences recording there are exceptionally positive. His studio is very similar to mine, so what you see here, you'll see at his place.
